Howdy ya'll..I am just getting into lilies and have some easter lily's that have died back so I decided i was going to replant them down next to the pond...well when I knocked the soil off the bulb reminded me of a galic bulb...a bunch of cloves[some rooted and some not] I was wondering if each bulb will become a lily next bloom if I seperrate them and plant?....what is the best way to do this should I dry them out first?....I am new to lily's so any advice will do...Thanks dale anne

That, along with seeding, is how they propogate. I normally naturalize all my bulbs, including the lilies, and spread the seeds to different places, if I get any.

Lilies are such wonderful plants...and some are even edible!
