Had a set of twin Shetland ewe lambs born this AM, real cute & lively! -
AWWWWW....they are gorgeous.
What adorable babies!!!! Congratulations!
Darling! What a great day to be born!
I would name one mint, and the other jelly.... just kidding :haha:
The majority of our lambs this year has been males.
Ha! Well, I actually *am* doing themed names for them - Bunny is the dark ewe, & Easter is the white one With any luck, they'll be part of a breeding flock next year! I had another lamb with the same kind of birth fleece as the white, who had exceptionally soft, fine, crimpy fleece - even as an adult ram! He ended up culled for bashing fences, though. The dark one should mature out a nice creamy fawn & light grey color (musket), & I don't have any ewes of that color in my flock. I am a hand spinner, & sell some fleeces for that purpose, so like to have a range of colors.
They are adorable!!
Jennifer they are lovely! The white one is to die for...
I bought my first white shetland as a ewe lamb last year at Michigan Fiber Fest. I have just about every color except white. Hope to get a white lamb from her next spring.
Juliann, still waiting for first lambs here in IL.
