DD needs a way to clean the lint catcher in her dryer. The lint clings to the screen & won't roll off easily. She suspects that the former tenant used dryer sheets that have built up a coating. This is a removable screen that would be easy to rinse/wash, but what should she use to cut the clingy stuff?

Any suggestions?

Laundry soap? Or I've found that Fantastik cuts greasy stuff pretty well, especially if you let it sit for a while, so it might work well on that. A soft scrub brush might help as well. Another thought just came to me - fabric softener bottles say to rub softener stains from cloths with a bar of soap, and then launder, so bar soap might work as well. Good luck.

I soak mine in vinegar and water. When it's clean she'll see a difference in the amount of time it takes to dry a load.
