And my dang welding hood kept sliding down, before I was ready. The head

strap tightening knobs...wouldn't. It's a cheap Hobart...17 bucks. I need to get

a better hood, for my head, not a helmet. The kind I used working for cbi

had a square hole for the bolt and it had a concave split washer between the

tighten knob and the helment...Anyone have a hood that drops when

you nod your head a little, like it's suppose to? Without having to continually

tighten the strap down? I don't need a 500 dollar helmet, just one with a flipup . tia...

Just get a new Jackson helmet. The auto dark would be a plus. I changed up 15 years ago...

Put a leather washer in it so you can adjust the tension.

Just get a new auto-darkening helmet. I have a Miller passive shade helmet, and a Miller "Classic" auto-darkening helmet. No complaints but they will be more than $15. I think my auto-darkening was $70ish at the local Miller dealer. Not sure the health or safety of my eyes or head is something I would be skimping on.
