How can I propogate off of a dogwood bush? Or any bush for that matter?
This may help. I don't know why they wait for winter though.....
in the spring, just as they are coming out of dormancy, take a cutting about 6 inches long, making sure it has a few "nodes" on it. make the cut at an angle. you can dip them in rootone, then plant them in some moistened soil or sand. cover with plastic (or put in a greenhouse.) after about 3 months, they should have a good root system and you can repot them in a bigger pot to grow for a year. then the next year they can be planted outside.
good luck!! i think it is fun!!
