Ladies, do you ever ask your husband that question?
Would you be asking that if you weren't a little heaftier than you'd like to be in the first place?
What would you say or do if your husband told you you looked fat before you put it on??

My husband has always been honest... no matter what I asked. It isn't always the best for my ego, but it IS best for the relationship.

It was such a nice weekend and here you are about to ruin a the rest of it for all us married men! LOL

Ya she asks, and I tell her the truth, maybe you should wear something else tonight! (dodge the flying heel, shoe or boot)

My DH's ex used to ask him that all the time.... once he told her "The outfit has nothing to do with it. You're either fat or you aren't!" That got him put in the doghouse for quite some time from what I'm told LOL

My Yvonne asked me that question once. "its not the outfit.... its the bisquits and gravy and pizza thats doing it". Oddly enough she hasnt asked again, and I have pretty much healed up with only a couple of small scars. :)

it would be a silly question to even ask. no man in his right mind is going to say, 'why, yes, dear. it sure does!' besides a look in the mirror tells you what you need to know. (nice not to have those pesky full length mirrors lurking about sometimes!)

Men love to joke about the "Does this make me look fat?" question but the men should ask their wives this one:

"Honey, does this comb-over make me look hot?"

Sadly, many men are just too secure in their belief that those three strands of hair are providing baldness coverage and communicating virility.

And then there is the butt-crack question.... :)

Yes, I've asked, and no, I don't think I'm "heftier then I'd like to be"
It is a simple fact that NO ONE looks good in everything. I can put on an outfit and have fellows follow me around and drool and ask DH what kind of deal with the devil he made...
Or I there are outfits that that make me look drab, doesn't hang right, is just unflattering or even hides my hourglass figure and makes me look pudgy

Yes, I know how I look - kinda. I'd rather ask DH what he thinks of an outfit (after all, he's spending more time looking at it then I am) then spend 10 minutes twisting my head around in the mirror trying to see my back.
And maybe I just want a guy's opinion.
Why do guys just assume it's a trap and get all weird?

I can handle "No, not those jeans, they make your thighs look wide. Wear the Wranglers." If I didn't want to know - I wouldn't ask. Don't let me go out in public looking bad.

But to answer your last question, if I was naked and he just popped out with "Hey sweetie, your thighs are getting a little big there. Just wanted you to know." Then we'd have an issue. I didn't ask and it's just plain rude, I don't care who you are.
