I bought a oberhasli doe in august, and she does not show signs of heat just a little swollen vulva but when she is in heat she will not get bred, The buck will chase her all around. She was bred last year but the buck was steril.she is a dry two year old.I have rented the buck and the lady said I can keep him for as long as I need him. I have 2 other does that have been bred already so she is my hold out.

do you have the buck in with the doe permanently? you might have missed the heat at her. if she does not stand for the buck you might also want to try and hold her for him.

No but he is right next store.
i could just but her in there for a month or so since I have no one else to breed but her. I hold her but I do not know if she is in heat or not some times. Should i just leave her in with him I do not think she will mind to much.

    Thank you

Yah give them a month together. Check her often and see if she shows signs of being in heat.

yes i would put them in together. some does are so quiet in heat that it is very easy to be missed. check every day if you can see any goo under her tail.
    good luck :)

I now it is such a long wait. last year I only had one doe and I bought her 3 months pregnant so I only had to wait 2 months.
