I could use some ideas on how to stop a rabbit from wasteing her pellets. She's scratching the pellets out of her feeder. I think she is bred and I need her to have the pellets where she can eat them.
I was giving her feed once a day, but have split the ration in two so she has it to eat more often.
I put her feed dish up higher to see if thet will help. But I still think she may not be getting enough to eat, because of the scratching. I'd take her dish away from her and offer it several times a day, but I have other things to do.

I had 3, a buck and and 2 does that would scratch an entire feeder full of food out. In a desperate attempt to stop this behaviour I resorted to spraying them with a small water gun whenever they would dig their feeder. It didn't take long for them catch on and they don't dig their food anymore. I didn't spray them enough to get them wet, just enough for them to go "hey! what the heck??"
