Can someone tell me what might be causing this noise? Our 2002 Dodge Caravan started making a thumping noise,(as if something is hitting the floor on the passenger side) when we hit a very small bump and at any speed.I have checked everything and find nothing loose.Replaced swaybar link, did'nt help.Does'nt effect running or driving at all, just makes noise. It's driving me crazy.Any guesses? It is a 3.3 v-6 auto.

    Thanks Backwoods

Not sure what you mean by 'swaybar link' but I had a similar symptom on a somewhat older Caravan that was fixed by replacing the swaybar bushings....They wore out again in a couple years. I hear it's a common problem.

Check the struts. Could have a broken spring or bushing.

This may not be the problem,, but its worth checking, my truck was doing that, had me worried, all it was was the rubber that is on the engine side of the where the tire is. I dont know its purpose its just there. Its held on by some plastic buttons, and one came loose and the rubber was flapping, hitting the floorbard on that size. made me pull over when i finally realized what it was it was a relief. You can either remove it altogether or pick up a pack of the buttons from any automotive store
