How do you add pigs to your herd? I have a couple about 4 months old, one 3 yr old pregnant boar, and I want to add a few more. They are all seperated now. I want to put them out together this summer on about an acre. I was told they would fight. Five or six 200-550 lb pigs fighting is not something I want. I am hoping to add some tamworths to my herd, but I don't want to pay a premium price for a pig just to have it beat up when it gets home. Will a young boar be beeaten by an older one? I will be getting an old boar, and replaceing it with a tamwortg piglet by the end of summer.

Rob30 I curious as to where you will acquire this tamworth, I have looked high and low on the net for a breeder of these animals in Canada, but to no avail. Have you found one here, in this country, if so would you mind sharing their address or phone number with me?

The lady I found is around Ottawa. Her email address is asarrazin@storm.ca. She will have piglets in the spring.
