For those of you that use DE on your swine, how do you do it? When mixed with feed, is it based on weight? Do you feed it every day? Do you ever use other wormers with it, or just use strictly DE? Thanks!

I use Food Grade DE sparingly in the pen and sprinkle on the sows. Very, very sparingly once or twice a year. I use DE in their feed to keep the ants and bugs down. I think I use about a tablespoon for 100 pounds. This has always helped with intestinal parasites but I use other wormers like Wazine and Atgard once a year. Just used Atgard this week. Two years ago, I purchased one pound of it and I still have enough on hand for another year or two.

I use a scant teaspoon per day per animal in their feed or treats during fly season. I have never needed a commercial wormer since. This controls both worms in the gut and fly maggots laid in the stool
