I just checked the Jeffers catalog (jefferspet.com) but the kind they had couldn't be used on animals.

SO-MO has it in Springfield, MO. 417-865-0312. Got 50 lbs for just under$20.00 IIRC. Don't know where you are so don't know if this helps.
    It was Food Grade DE.

I couldn't find any locally so I asked the guy at the feed store if he could order some, and he did. Maybe a feed store would order it for you even if they don't normally carry it. That stuff is heavy and I'm thinking you'll end up paying a ton for shipping.

Some health food stores carry it. Even the ones that don't carry it can probably order it for you.

Call around the feed stores. I had two that were like, "what? You feed DE to your animals? Food grade DE? What's that?" then a great one that went out of her way to find it and got it for me. 21.50 for 50 lbs.

Hi there, I have a DE pool filter, I get 50lb. bag for $18 at a local swimming pool/hot tub shop. I imagine it's pet safe as we swim in it and the dogs drink the pool water and swim in it too. :)

Not the same.Food grade is finer and will kill little bugs n worms.Pool grade is much coarser.I'm not sure if the course stuff could hurt animals or not.

do not feed the pool stuff to your animals.

call the feed stores and ask if one will be willing to order some. the new feed store in my town found me a 50lb bag for 17.50. i really like those people. :)

How do you get DE to work for flea removal? I have dusted my house, no carpeting, but dusted my animals a few times, dusted my furniture, dog's bed. Does it take more than a week to work? Do I need to dust everything again? My poor animals need some relief!

I bought this because it sounded safe and good. If it doesn't work, I will have to go to the store for the Borax treatment. But don't want to make that trip if I don't have to. Maybe I just don't have enough patience?
