The pictures of the dexters are posted on this website:

    http://www.blackmesaranchonline.com/

The dexter heifer is the new heifer that was just born. The bull is older - a year or so? They are asking $1,000 for the female and the male each. If you have any questions just contact Kathryn via the email address at the site.....

    Hi Tina,

I didn't notice you were on the thread and pm'd you. I now see you are in Washington State, so that probably won't work for me. I know there was a thread from someone in Washington that was looking to get into cattle and a few people told her about dexters. I'll see if I can find her post and refer her to you.

Corabelle was a holstein. The two times I bred her I used a dexter bull. Fortunately she gave birth to two of the sweetest heifers you ever did see. Besides making sure that I only do what I feel God is directing me to do (which right now seems to be to wait... everyone's favorite thing to do), I want an animal that won't be skitterish and not let me have anything to do with it. The dexter holstein cross seemed to be a nice cross. I'm pretty sure Corabelle's new owners will be breeding her to an angus from here on out.
