    Deborosa,

Tonight's evening news told the story of a Sequim couple, Joe and Judy Taylor, who are having to quickly find homes for about 50 farm animals because of Joe's illness--just had bypass surgery on Friday. I'm afraid I didn't catch the description of the entire clan, but it included two emus, some silky chickens, Scottish sheep, a llama, and I don't remember what else. The newscaster mentioned that a guy named Bob Basha (phonetic) of Critter Haven in Sequim is helping out in a nation-wide search for new homes. I don't know what your situation is these days animal-wise, but it occurred to me that these guys are your neighbors, so maybe you'd be interested?

Oh, I hope she sees it in time... BUT, if your news channel is like mine, they are more interested in finding "loving, caring homes" than to actually place a chicken or another animal on a farm... sigh. I hate all the sappy dog stories on our news, the news would usually be about 7 minutes if it wasn't so full of fluff.

Got it! Well, might be time to expand after getting a new roof on the barn! I'll see what I can find out.

Thank you for thinking of me Amelia!

Google sure is great - but I just got an e-mail back and the animals all have homes already. They do have animals for adoption from time to time (two donkeys right now) so I will stay in touch.

    Thank you Amelia!

Must have been someone else. I did write them back and let them know what I could take on. So some day my menagerie just might increase unexpectedly!
