My pumpkin vine suddenly died, and a few days later, two of the four fruit turmed to mush (as though they were frostbitten...but they weren't) Should I take the other two off the vine? Will they ripen?

it sounds like squash vine borers. once in a while, i'll have one recover, if there is still active growth on another stem.

if you find a good, organic cure for it, please let me know. they get me every year anymore.

wow I gues I'm lucky that they didn't get my squashes and cukes.

Will the rest of the pumpkin ripen on its own?

They got to my pumpkins and watermelons this year. The cucumbers were pretty much left alone, thank God, otherwise the wife wouldn't have had anything to pickle.
