Have there been any documented cases of domestic dairy cattle having west nile virus? Is there a vaccination developed for cattle? If so, have any of you used the vaccination? I guess this is supposed to be the year that N. Arizona gets hit with it.

I have not heard of any cattle being affected by WNV and our area was hit pretty hard with horse, human, and bird cases the last few years.

My vet advises that no vaccine is available for cattle simply because cattle are not affect. We live in an area that sees a fair amount of WN cases a year and I've yet to hear of any cattle being involved.
