We are going to move to Houston after the first of the year... I found a piece of propery that is soooo perfect... 2.5 acres, already fenced in, stocked, spring fed pond, barn. Everyone cross your fingers, this would be PERFECT for my family and our goats!!!

Lots of parts of Houston flood, I mean water in your house each and everytime they get more than 5 inches of water. If you don't know this area really well you might want to ask those of us who are here, about the area. East Texas is also a very 'different' place to live...well lets just say I felt like I should have brought my passport from San Diego :) Vicki

Congrats! I lived in Houston and also the Houston area for over 25 years before moving to central Texas. Vicki is right about the flooding. Check all that stuff out. You can PM me any time with questions during your transition and perhaps I'll know something, LOL!. Have fun!

We have a realtor checking on the flood issue now. This is the realtor that my sister in law uses, not the realtor that is selling it. That way, I can get an honest response.....

Good Luck and keeping fingers crossed that it isn't a flooding area.. That sounds like a great area for you unless it a flooding pron area..
