The coyotes coaxed a female catahoula out of here. This is not a surprise. She was gone for 4 days. We thought she was done and gone. She showed back up. A little rough but in good condition. No pups, TG.
Between this and the birds, goats, sheep and pigs, etc we built a perimeter fence. Yeah, it looks like a compound. But we haven't had a problem since. And for the other critters, our Cataholas keep the place secure. Even a hungry cougar won't come over the fence. There are easier targets.
We can go out at night at any time. Never do we worry about anything more than a rattler.
People don't put enough time into security. And I'm not talking about the masses from the city.
