I am looking for a cow kicker that is ajustable. Is fits into the flank and over the back. I had one about 20 years ago and it worked great. I have a 7 year old cow that will come fresh in May that I want to milk. If anyonbe knows where I can get one please let me know.
    Blessings, Jim

I have a pair of kickers out in the barn that is just a light chain that is ajustable and goes across the front of their lags just above the knees. Each end hooks to their leg with a flat hook. They are effective until some old heifer throws a dancing fit and jumps around stiff legged until she gets them off.
Some people would throw a rope or strap around their flanks just ahead of their bag, You drawed them up as tight as you could about like a saddle cinch. They were also effective. I never seen the wind up wishbone type until around 1950.
