Anne-marie notified me, due to computer problems, Countryside and Small Stock Journel went to the printers about a week late. Thus, don't start looking for your copy until about mid-month. Yes, yes, I know - groan!

For those not familiar with it, Countryside... was one of the first publications in the U.S. to go to the printers 100% in electronic form. At first it went on diskettes. Now I believe it goes as an attachment.

Thank you for sharing the message. I won't worry, if it's later than usual.

I will TRY to wait patiently for my COUNTRYSIDE....

I know about computer problems and publishing! The Tuesday before Thanksgiving lightning ran in on our modem, router, and the Mac computer here at my home office for our newspaper. (in spite of all sorts of surge protectors and other expensive gizmos that were supposed to keep this from happening...)....it has taken us days and days to get everything at least partially straightened out....we did manage to come out with our weekly paper last week but it didn't have as many pages as usual. Hopefully this week we're more back to normal.

Even after the months long run up to the supposed computer rapture/rupture as the century closed out? (What WAS that thing called?) JD was the prophet of doom-that-never-happened. I grew tired of that constant din.

I knew a fellow who took that crud seriously. Friend of my younger brothers. This fellow cashed out his retirment, moved into a hole in the desert prepared to resist mobs and live off the land. Hid his currency (now what good did he think paper money was going to be?) and found it chewed up by pack rats when he went to retrieve it. Now he is too old to start over, unemployable and no retirement.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who counts the days until my
favorite read comes! Ken, I read your articles from beginning to end...you've
got a way to do most everything. It helps me sometimes if I'm notsure.
I finally got my air pump for my septic and it seems to be a no-brainer to replace. Now that I know the brand, I can buy a rebuild kit and have a spare.
If I have prolems, ya'll will hear from me.

Well, shucks, thank you for the compliment. I tell people the story of in high school and college my absolutely worst subjects were anything computer related and anything related to the English language. Turns our most of my career was in the computer support area and my hobby is writing.

I wish it came out more often, I'd be very happy to pay double the rate for more issues. I think it's wonderful!!!
