convert antique wood cook stove to propane

Insurance company forbids use of wood as fuel in our wood cookstove, as the required clearances would place it in the middle of the cabin. We're not going to dispose of this beloved stove, but want to install propane burners in firebox to allow cooking, baking (and minor heating, as anc airtight is already in place).
Has anyone done this, and had to overcome legal and physical obstacles.

With those limited choices to deal with, I would store or display the wood cook stove..
Then look at someplace like Lehmans Hardware for a modern, antique style propane stove..
