Collards and topping

    last fall i planted collards. have have good sucess with them. however, this spring they are flowering and i keep topping them. my husband says they are no good now. what should i do? thank in advance.

    Keep picking the flower buds and cooking them for broccoli. Do this until they stop putting out buds, then they really will be "no good" and you can pull the plants and compost them.
