Would anyone know what is organically acceptable when cleaning and sanitizing a bucket milking machine? Manual detergent?, Dairy detergent? Sanitizing agent? Dairy acid to remove milkstone? Thanks in advance, Tom
I have a single unit BouMatic milker that must be 40 years old. We use a regular antibacterial dish washing liquid soap and hot water to clean it after milking. The dealer we bought it from said that the cleaners dairys use for their set-ups aren't safe to use in a home environment and that regular dish soap is perfectly adequate for cleaning.
And I forgot to say- we replace all the hoses, claw seals, and claw glass every three months and take apart the whole unit and scrub every inch once a month.
