I just bought a antique cider press, the cast iron type.....

What is the best way to clean it up and what should I use to lubricate the moving parts??

So, whats the best way to clean cast iron..It has some rust and crud on it. I know I could probably use a wire brush but what about soaking the press in something?

    Any ideas??
