I always decorate the day after Thanksgiving. we still have snow, so it's very festive. :) I did the window the other day, but turned it on this morning while dark for a pic. didn't want to have Christmas until after Thanksgiving.

the front window. looks so pretty from outside.

the mantle. (I showed you before...but maybe a wreath over the mirror??)

I usually put the tree in the tv room, but this year I plopped it in the kitchen. we move the table, and then put our chairs in the dining area to park our old selves in front of the woodstove. figured we'd enjoy it more here...
first year it's been around the dogs (they never go in the tv room. it's just never been allowed...the one room with no doggie fur! so far....my guy hasn't decided it was a 'real' tree. and we all know what that would mean! lol

and our bedroom. nice for romantic lighting, and we also see it from downstairs. :)

also went out this morning and put a string of lights on the front porch railing. will take pics later. nobody but us sees it all, but we love Christmas! my hubby always says it makes our little house cozy. cool.

Really looks cozy.Your home looks quite new, is it??? You are ahead of the game. I am spending the whole morning putting away all fall decorations and straightening up from yesterday. We had the crowd here. I haven't even gotten to the food yet. The messing with the turkey carcass...hate that job. I will do that this afternoon. I think I will rest up the rest of the day and knit. Then Saturday I will decorate for Christmas. 'Tis the season!!

my hubby began building this little house 16 years ago. took us the first 10 years to get it 'liveable'. (weekends only to work on it, just him all alone) and that's all it took to then make me leave that suburban house!! :)
