Anyone ever seen chipmunk markings on a pig before? I can't find the camera to post a picture, but I have a potbelly boar piglet with chipmunk markings, base color is offwhite with tan stripes running the long axis of the pig. This is not a previously documented color pattern in a potbelly as far as I know. He's very skittish and the mother is one of my free range sows so it might have crossed with a local feral something

Hey George, looks like you have a little wild boar mixed in with your piggies now! Check out this picture of a wild boar piglet.

Oh man! Its so cute. But is it a good thing or a bad thing? Are wild/domestic hybrids a good "breed" to raise?
