Our chickens have red mites. What do you all do to get rid of them, any natural alternatives? Thanks so much.

Make them a dust bath and put DE in it. Then sprinkle DE all thru the coop, make sure to get it into the litter and all over the roosts. Wear a dust mask, because the stuff is fine as talcum powder and you don't want to breath it.

thanks. we've got some. I've hear some people use motor oil and I really didn't want to do that. Will DE really get them good?

It will, but you should always keep it in a dust bath for the birds because they will keep getting reinfected.
