Saturday evening, I let the flock (12 chickens) out of their coop to run around, eat grass and catch bugs. Well, I forgot to go back after dinner and lock them up. Fast forward to 4AM Sunday morning. My wife and I were both awakened by the sound of a clucking chicken going past our bedroom window. We both ran outside, checked the coop (did a quick count), and found there was one rooster missing. We started searching for him, and spotted a cat. It took off when we shined the flashlight on it. Next, I spotted a trail of feathers heading in the direction of where the cat was. Finally, after about 15 minutes we found the rooster. (Actually, our dog found him.) Anyway, he seems fine, not a scratch on him. My question is: did the cat chase the rooster across the yard, or did the rooster chase the cat across the yard?
