I have a 92 Chevy pickup with wipers that seldom work. I heard it is a common problem with the wiper module going bad. If I got a new one, where would I start looking for the old one to replace it? Lots of stuff under the hood and dash. Now that the six year drought might hopefully be over, I need to get the wipers going again.

Wiper module is actually the black plastic cover on the wiper motor. Very common problem and actually might be covered under a warranty recall by GM. Check with your local dealer or the NHTSA website about the recall. The problem with them is usually a broken solder joint that can sometimes be repaired.

My s10 blazer had the same problem. Make sure you have a good ground. Should be a brass/copper metal strip that runs to one of the mounting bolts. try a jumper cable from the body of the wiper to a body bolt.
