i figured out what the bald spot was on Cadee. it is the injection site for the cd/t shot i gave two weeks ago. i realized what it was when i noticed it was also a lump. i hadnt wanted to touch it earlier for fear it was roundworm. i got over it. Ester has a lump still as well. why is this? i used case-bac. is there an IM form of this shot? Jeffers catalog doesnt have one. where can i get this? i dont want to have 5 goats with bald spots/lumps for weeks. how long do these lumps last?

My vet suggested injecting them under their front legs (armpits LOL) for exactly that reason. Don't know how long the lumps last on a goat. I've had cats with lumps at the injection site, that took quite a while to dissipate.

i tented, and then put the needle in the end about 3/4 in with a 1/2" needle. i gave the shots just like my cat's, above/on the shoulder. does that mean that the vaccine didnt work?
