WRor one of our other Canadian friends this question is for you  I just checked the USDA market news for yesterday and they show 902 head of feeder cattle crossing into Washington state  Have your export rules changed? The only other livestock crossing were hogs (151,272) and horses(266).Was there a provision that lets you export feeders under a certain age?The local packer buyers are talking about a VERY STEEP discount on any fat cattle they think are over two years at time of slaughter :( This will do away with a lot of those good 1400pound prime grade cattle at cow prices  I see that Canada has low slaughter wieghts compared to ours,Is this because of a similar regulation? If this is the case it might be a good time to get those just weaned calves on a backgrounding program.Prime cattle under two are hard o come by and preconditioned calves should bring the sellor a good price :) Thanks for any info. you have
