    that is way cool!! how big is it? kind of hard to tell from the pic.

    man, i'd be tempted to try and capture it, in hopes it would spin a cocoon. whatever comes out will be amazing!!

    It is a Heterocampa. One site on-line said it was a Saddleback Heterocampa, but I can't find it anywhere else. It said that they change to red right before they pupate.
