We caretake here in Jackson Wyoming. There are lots of large second homes for the weathly here. Each situation is uniqe.

It usually includes housing. Wages are offered if you do more than just watching the place( lawns, cleaning etc.) Some large estates pay as much as 40,000.00 a year in wages for the caretaker, but those do not come up often and you have to have a a proven track record before being considered.

KC, you have the wrong website for THE CARETAKER GAZETTE:

"You might want to look at http://www.caretakersgazette.org"

    their website is at www.caretaker.org

I have found many caretaking positions through the GAZETTE over the last 20 years! They're a good publication!

    Hi Y'all,

We've made several two week trips out West over the years.
In Indianapolis IN, We used a firm called "Caretakers", to take care
of our two large Dobermans. The Lady came out early to learn about things
& get to know our dogs. They loved her

The lady would come to the house three times a day, put the dogs
out in the yard, stay awhile with them, feed & water them, give any meds
they needed, get any mail in, and take care of turning on and off lights
    in the house.
Oh and she ran the vacuum & straightened up the house before we came
    home.
They charged $11 a visit, $33 a day. It was well worth it.
Unfortunately, we moved and they won't come this far out in the Country.
So we are looking for a new Caretaker.
    Good luck, hunnh.

KC, once again, you have the wrong website for THE CARETAKER GAZETTE:

http://www.caretakersgazette.org is just a bogus site

    their website is at www.caretaker.org

I have found many caretaking positions through the GAZETTE over the last 20 years! They're a good publication!

Yes KC, and it's nothing but a site for the site-owner to make money from google and others when people click on all the ads there

KC, why not be helpful and point people to the correct website:

    www.caretaker.org

instead of just another money making site????

Are you the owner of the the sites you point people to KC?

Is this how you make a living KC?

No not enough said. You are not helpful KC, and this forum should only be for helpful people, so my advice to you is to stop posting on homesteadingtoday unless you can provide helpful info - instead of money-making schemes!
