Well, we have a 1990 and a 1993 Subaru Legacy sedan/wagon. They take the same size tires. The 1990 is shot and we are junking it. I was thinking of taking the brand new tires from the junker and swapping them with the other car, rims and all. That way I wouldn't have to have a second person drive it in to town with me and pay $10 a tire to have it done. Won't the rims be the same since the tire is the same and they are the same company? The junker sedan is AWD but the wagon is not.

If they're both 1500's or both 2500's they should have the same bolt pattern. The 1500's have a five-hole pattern and the 2500's have an eight-hole, so if you have one of each the rims won't fit.

Measure from one lug to one farthest away from it on each vehicle, if they are the same both should enterchange.

Thanks. I'll check it out later today when both cars are home.
