WE are planning on getting some bees. We want to do away with white sugar altogether. My question is, has anyone canned using honey? Are there any links or books about canning and jelly making with honey?

    Hey there fellow Oregonian,

I too have bees and have cooked a little with honey. There are many recipes on the web, just do a search. Remember that honey has a little bacteria in it so be careful.

HI there! I am trying to think of where Hermiston is. Around Roseburg? Or farther North? Of course I could get out an atlas and look it up! LOL

    Thanks for the info.

By the way, I am in Coquille.

I just looked it up in the Atlas. Was I off! Way up North and to the East!

Okay, we aren't such close neighbors after all! LOL

What a small world! I was born there, and you know how close it is to Coquille. :)

Now I remember why I thought Hermiston was by Roseburg. Because they bring Hermiston Watermelons over here from that area.
