All I know is if it is real I would hate like the dickens to run into that thing anywhere. It probably is real. If you think about how big our pigs that we raise get they can be huge too and really long (depending on the breed we end up with).

I'd say real. I've hoisted a beef or two on a truck like that and the cantor of the truck looks balanced according to the potential weight. I've heard stories of the wild pigs south in Tennessee growing that big. Of course it might have been the moonshine talking.

I imagine that the picture is real............I have seen hogs bigger than a livingroom couch.they do get up to 1000+ lbs.

The same picture has been in several hunting magazines along with others. That isn't the largest. In the magazines it tells who killed the hog and where. With anything that large hanging it up will change it some.

Being from the Orlando area, a native Floridian, I have never heard anything about this supposed extremely large hog. I have been to Okahumpha (if that spelling is right) many times and wild hogs do not rule the roost there. I have seen wild hogs in the 600 pound range many times, even had a 350 pound sow cross my back and leave a scar as I was trying to craw into a thicket of thorn bushes to rescue a stupid not yet trained hog dog. Tore my Levi's back pocket off to get to the .25 automatic I was carrying, pumped 7 rounds in her as she crossed my back - coming head on. Still have the scars today, about 40 years later.

I really doubt such is real.
