I don't know if this site has been talked about before (can't find it doing a search in the forums) but even if it has, it bears repeating.

chuckwagon cooking

Great recipes for cooking over an open fire. dutch oven, pie irons, rubs, desserts, kids as cooks...tons of stuff.

also traveling tips, not just with kids, but animals.

First recipe i'm going to try is the apple strudel in the pie iron :)

Camp fire cookings will suprise you. My mother and grand mother cook a full thanksviving meal on an open flame. Every thing from turkey and dresing to pies and cakes. The Game warden came buy and had thanksviving meal with us and said that it was better than anything that his wife could do in her kitchen. I have learned much about campfire cooking over the years and would not be afraid to cook anything that you can cook in your kitchen. It takes time and patchents but I have a lot of of that.
