Cage Size for Smaller Rabbits

So I've located a pair of Thrianta does that should match up well with my buck, but I realized I really don't know how big a cage these smaller rabbits need. These are rather active 5ish pound rabbits, not the big sedentary lugs I've raised in the past. How big should I build the cages?

I have Dutch & Harlequins which are similarly sized. The smallest cage I would use is 24x24" but 24x30" is much better. 24x30 is necessary for a doe + litter.
I use 36x24 for my senior Thriantas (ok, my nephews Thriantas) and 24x24 for the jr's. Same size for Florida Whites but, mind you, they only keep 6 holes - lol. I use the same size for my Fuzzies for the sr's (36x24 and 24x24) and have 18x24 for the jr's. Have 30 fuzzy holes.

Ah! So you're familiar with both Thriantas and Fl Whites, eh? Have you ever dressed out a Thrianta by any chance? I'm wondering how the carcass would compare to a Florida White. My little guy is so stocky and solid. Wondering how they compare in other ways, too.

Just curious, though. Hopefully I will be able to sell my culls as pets and not ever have to worry about it.

By the way, thanks everyone for the cage measurements.
Ok, so next question.

Planning on doing two, two compartment cages 2' W x 5' total length, basically giving me four 24"x30" cages.

Figuring on 10' of 1/2" x 1" wire for the bottoms, 10' of 1"x2" wire for the tops, backs, and fronts, 9' of the same for 18" tall sides (So, basically 39 feet of 1"x2", round up to 40')...but I'm wondering how much extra I will need for doors? Having trouble figuring that in.

Beginning to wonder if I should just order the things from somebody.
warning: havent finished coffee yet, but Ill try to make sense!

we do ultra low-tech doors, just joining the door panel with j-clips along one side of the opening and we use 2 leash clasps on the other side to secure. We overlap the securing side by about 2" to make a stronger closing. I also cut the door taller and fold over 1-2" at the top and bottom and pinch down then j-clip down to make a more rigid door. Ill try to post pics later. theyre not marvels of engineering, I just wanted to build them myself!

Weve trapped raccoons and possums, nothing recently tho.
It will depend on how big you want your doors. An 18x18" door should be large enough for most cages, but you may want one even larger to get nestboxes through. I always purchase a few extra feet of wire when I build cages just in case. I've been known to measure lengths too short or come up with a new project and wish I had more wire.
