We 'veal' a few bull calves each year and leave them intact and have never found the meat to be tainted. L

We butcher several bulls (and steers) a year and have never had bad taste. For that matter the bulls grow quicker than steers, and while we do band some, we often forget, or we "miss", hence the bulls. :) Of course you have to watch your back when they get bigger.....
