Buckwheat hulls

834 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  tprice
I planted buckwheat as a cover crop and it has done great. Of course now we would like to harvest and use the "grain". How can I remove the outer hull from the "grain"? Buckwheat is used the world over, so there must be a fairly simple method. Thanks All. tprice in sc

Can't answer your question.
However a couple years ago there were many TV commercials selling buckwheat hull pillows. They had drawings of how the hulls all fit together and formed to the shape of your head. If you get them off, don't throw them away.

I have one of those pillows. They make scrunchy noises every time you move. :haha: I quit using mine.
