I wanted to invite all the Buckeye (or those close enough to be honorable buckeyes) Homesteaders to our place on Friday October 20 for a campout and then a day of relaxing fun and demostrations.

What kind of demostrations you ask? Heck I don't know... what are YOU going to do.

I know we will be pressing cider for sure.

Anyways, if your interested it's in Medina, Ohio (closer to Lodi) and tents or campers are welcome. Yeah it will be chilly in October and if it's raining, you can sleep in the barn or the hay loft if worse comes to worse.

So who's in? And what are you doing?

Bob, I'm hoping I can come.I'm new to the posting but have lurked for quite awhile. I farm, write and work off my farm as well. I sell direct from my farm gate ;pork, lamb and beef. I hate to offer to provide a skill this time cause I'm not sure I can make it, but perhaps next time.

Just to clarify, you don't HAVE to bring a demonstration, it would just be appreciated.

Any soap makers, reloaders (ahem TallPaul), bee keepers (Mike), etc... you get the idea.

Working on possibly having a local fella that's sort of an expert at black powder being here too.

Do you have a place to shoot?? I could bring black powder and flint and steel, It is still a bit a way but unless one of my kids are coming in that weekend or I have to work, I should be able to make it. I know where Lodi is as I have gone to the log cabin shop many times

I live less than five miles from the log cabin and yes I have a place to shoot. So plan on bringing some money if anyone wants to go to the Log Cabin Shop also!

We will be having somewhat of a harvest party for our kids and doing some games and pumpkin carving.

This is definitely a family event so if anyone wants to bring kids it's encouraged.

Unlike "himself" I practically grew up at the Log Cabin ~ lol
    I cook -- it's what I do :) I can bring a big pot of something
Also..depending on how many kids we get I can come up with some kid crafting as well so they can have something to take away with them.

Oooohhh, hopefully we can make it also. We're scheduled to go camping that weekend with some of our friends at Hocking Hills, so I'll see if I can swindle them in to camping at your place instead. I'll let you know for sure as soon as I can. Thanks for the invite!

Hey MB, I sure hope y'all can come. I am sure Hocking Hills will be prettier than my place, but it won't be more fun!

Bob, I need to check with the boss but I'd like to come. Just got back into town from a week in DC (Work). Haven't even stopped at home yet.

My anniversary is that weekend. Are you all going to be hanging out on the 21st? I can't camp out, but maybe we can come by for awhile.

You better be able to come, I know you can't be talking about "far out" as in distance... so I will assume you mean that far in advance.

We want a reloading demonstration! We want a reloading demonstration!
