Hi! From my title I’m sure you gathered that I’m Brittany from New Hampshire.

I currently live in central New Hampshire, a little too urban for my taste, but hey you do what you can for the time.

I currently grow my own veggies, fish for dinner and also harvest/eat delicious game like squirrel, deer (very much a beginner to no experience with deer hunting, goal to learn), ect. (Some people who aren’t so outdoors savvy are shocked by which end you start skinning )

I am proficient in marksmanship and am happiest in the mountains. Love to hike and spend most-to-all my time outdoors. Have stayed off grid for two weeks in Alaska in a group while helping put an elderly couple by building a woodshed for them. I learned a lot and loved the lifestyle. In my heart its always been there. Even when i camp it’s by myself and in a tent.

I am constantly researching things like foraging, planting/gardening, ways to use materials and cook/make my own at home. My goal is to be as self sufficient as possible. My ultimate goal is to save up, get some land and live off grid or at least have a homestead of my own. Hey, single women do it all the time!

I saw this page and thought this would be the perfect way to talk with other people and learn alot!

Thanks!

Hey! Welcome. (I'm kind of new here, myself.)

Even though I was born, raised, and lived my whole life in Mississippi, I have spent some time in New Hampshire. (Mostly in the Hanover and West Lebanon, NH and White River Junction, VT area.) I still have friends there.

I have driven all over Vermont and New Hampshire. I saw the "Old Man in the Mountain" a few days before he fell.

I really like the area---in the spring, summer, and fall. Not so much in the winter.

Glad you appreciate the Second Amendment. :)

this whole area is beautiful! i admit the winters are a little harsh. Howeveri have started in Alaska a couple weeks and i most say I think their winters are worse
I hear Mississippi is gorgeous, but I’ve never been. I’m sure the winters aren’t nearly as harsh there. I hear you have some big catfish down there too!

i will always exercise my second amendment, whether it be plinking, hunting, or hopefully never, but self defense.

I’m assuming you do too! Good to hear from you.

and welcome
