    Have a JD 1050.
Came back to the tractor after having off for a few minutes while brush hogging.
The linkage that hooks the brake peddle to the arm of the brake at the rear axel was hanging down. A pin was missing. No Problem to repair and hook back up.
Question is - as the linkage has adjustments on both ends - is that one end is or appears to be bent. Is this normally bent to facilitate attachment or was it probably bent during the use of the tractor?

Go to JDparts.deere.com and look up your tractor and see what the factory part looks like.

    Yes it does look straingt.
    Thanks for the link.
Have the needed parts ordered from a local dealer.
Thanks again. It is not good to go up and down these hills with faulty brakes.
