Is it okay to give a pregnant doe BoSe just prior to her being due?
Hi Ruth...how do you know she is selinium deficient?
I think it would be okay and also give some to the kids when born....
Usually its 4-5 weeks before due date that you give it....I think because thats when the babies are growing the most so if she is really close chances are it wont benefit the kids as much before they are born.
i think you are supposed to give it three weeks prior to kidding. and when kids are born give it to the kids too if they are weak.
Here is a link with a question i posed about BoSe that has some good info in it...
Hope it helps.
Thanks everyone. I had a recent horrible kidding. The only live birth seemed to have floppy kid syndrome. He didn't live very long either.
in that case, yes, I'd go ahead and give it, especially if they are field bred and you dont have exact dates.
