I need something besides my meat cleaver to cut the wing and leg bones on the ducks when I am cleaning them. I cut just the ends off so I get most of the meat and the duck will fit in my crock pot. I really don't want to fillet the ducks or cut off just the meat, I just want to cut these 4 bones and I know there is a better way. Can I use a clean hack saw blade or would something work better? Thanks in advance.

I use a vary large, serrated bread knife. It really does work. It also cuts the bread well.

I LOVE! my bread knife!!!!!!!!!!

A decent pair of poulty shears will make for a very easy job. I got my first pair last year right before butchering chickens and have been amazed by their ability to cut.

ok.
I just watch too much Dexter and read too many psychological thrillers.
Everytime I see this post I can't help but to have my mind go the wrong way.
How weird if there were a forum where bad guys could discuss such things.

Oh, and I use a tobacco knife to do it. It looks like a tomahawk except a very, very thin blade. Nasty, nasty thing, but it cuts through like butter.
