did anyone see the news story about blacklight power inc. and it's water and solid fuel reactor? they claim to be able to produce energy well beyond the known chemical inputs...without a nuclear reaction. i saw a story on CNN where they have a working 50 Kw (or whatever...enough to power a couple homes). they have at least one contract already and others plan to sign on when they bump it up to a 250 Kw unit. the estimated cost of electricity is currently less than 3 cents per kwh. they have had third party testing...as folks are skeptical because we think we know it all already.

here is their website...

I remain an interested spectator and cheer on any new discovery that comes along. Oh and I'll buy any cheap power they can put into my home but I ain 't prepaying or signing a contract.

i'm not ready to sign any contracts yet either and i remain skeptical, but i remain hopeful that we find something that is not only cheap, but eco-friendly.
