I just realized today that we have a beech tree up on the hill and it looks like we are going to have a bumper crop of beech nuts. The only thing I know about beech nut is it's a type of chewing tobacco!

Can you eat beech nuts? Does anyone have recipes? thanks!

If you get them before squirrels deer and turkey. They taste like beech-nut gum without the sugar. Not much to em but they are tasty. They are quite safe.

Thanks for the information, if nothing else I can feed them to my turkeys, I guess!
