Can you charge a 12v battery with a 6 volt charger? Consequences?

    Jim's reply is correct.

For the purests, voltage will try to equalize, at the expense of amps. Some small mis-matchs can be overcome.... but not double.

Your charger will not get itself up to the 13 volts needed to 'push' any juice into the 12v battery. It's going to try real hard, & probably hurt itself. Sometimes when they hurt themselves, they throw sparks.......

the end result is pretty much the same.
