I posted on the cooking board for baked limas from dried beans, and hoped I would get a better response here...

I just like them plain...I soak, then cook with water to start and the stock at the end.
When they are almost done I take my potato masher and press it down in the pot a few times to break some of them to get that good thick bean gravy going on.. add butter, salt and pepper and I am good to go!
I love limas.

I like to add dried onion and diced ham in mine. season with salt and pepper and a bit of garlic. I like a little juice in mine to put over cooked cornbread.

That is my favorite way also.

Perhaps the lack of response is more of an indication of how few people like Lima Beans.
I like limas, just never had "Baked Limas" I would also be interested in a recipe for them.

Just a after thought, I did a search and found this.
