    Hello,

Recently there was an article in our local paper that discussed how three different couples all used in excess of 3,000 Kwh's in a month. This has lead me to try and gather some data on the average electric customer. I've gathered all I could from past posts on this subject.

Now I'm looking for a few more people to please tell me:

How Kwh's did you use and what was your total elec bill?
Please feel free to send me as much info as you'd like, since I'm trying to gather as much data as I can.

    Thank you for your time.
    Scott

I happen to have my August bill right here:

330 kwh for $39 (includes all the adjustments, distribution charges, etc.)

Our electricity bill is always in the mid-$30/month.

In El Paso, TX: 644 KWH for $67.92 plus a $4.50 residential cutomer charge total $72.42

My bill has been fairly consistent since I moved here in June and only varies a couple of bucks each way.

This is interesting, also, could you tell us why you are interested in everyones bill? Are you doing some sort of study?

Western NY 1262 Kw around $150
It's about the same every month. Way too high for my liking, and I feel like it's almost a car payment. I'd take Cabins bill over mine any day of the week.

Well let's see. A decent off-grid set up must cost at least $10,000. At 4% interest, that's $400 per year or about $35 per month....that's not including depreciation of the equipment.

1987 kwh. Electric $153.47 plus gross tax 3.94 plus Public Services tax 10.73 equals a total of 168.14. That's for Jacksonville, FL in August in a large suburban house. Bleh. I hates it.

August was 1800kw, $165, the most I ever paid. That is because of pool filter and AC. It usually is around 1500kw for the 3 summer months and about 1000-1200kw the rest of the year with the low being around $90. We are all electric with a heat pump, but heat with wood and coal.
